The Institute of Computer Science was established in 1999 within the then Faculty of Mathematics and Physics.
In 2019, it became an independent unit. On October 1, 2023, it was transformed into the Faculty of Computer Science.
The faculty consists of the five departments: Department of Numerical Methods, Department of Bioinformatics,
Department of Discrete Processes, Department of Artificial Intelligence and Multimedia, and Department of Programming and Formal Methods.
