ERASMUS+

Erasmus is a programme for the university, its students and employees. It supports international cooperation in higher education, allows students to travel abroad for part of the study and practice, promotes the mobility of university staff, creates numerous opportunities for universities to participate in projects with foreign partners. Poland has been participating in this EU’s flagship education and training programme since 1998.

In the years 1995-2006 Erasmus was a part of the Socrates programme. In 2007 it became a part of the EU’s Lifelong Learning Programme and expanded to cover new areas such as student placements in enterprises, university staff training and teaching for enterprise staff. The main aim of LLP is to improve the quality and attractiveness of vocational education and facilitating international cooperation and exchanges in education.

The University of Bialystok has been participating in the Erasmus Programme since 1999. During those years we have enlarged the list of our partners to over 100 universities from 25 countries. We have hosted over 190 incoming students and over 660 our students have studied abroad.
